& Safety The policy of Security First Services is to ensure, as far as reasonably practicable, the Health and Safety at work of all personnel by:
Health & Safety Implementation The Operations Director is responsible to the Managing Director for implementing the Company’s Policy Statement, and maintaining its credibility by amending and updating operating policy. Supervisors have overall responsibility for the provision and maintenance of Health and Safety conditions at locations in their areas, and to ensure the requirements and resources necessary to implement the programme are established. The supervisors are also responsible for ensuring such information that inspectors, empowered under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, properly require to be passed on to employees shall be displayed in Assignment Instruction Folders. Supervisors will maintain the Assignment Instructions together with such local rules, codes of practice and regulations; and will make this information available to any employee upon request. In addition, they are responsible for creating and maintaining safety awareness at all levels to ensure compliance with current legal requirements; recording, reporting and assisting in the investigation of accidents, injuries, etc; and periodically reviewing the records obtained to ensure there is no evidence of hidden hazards. In order to guarantee communication between all parties, the supervisor will hold regular dialogue with the clients’ representative to ensure compliance with client needs, and that the Health and Safety Act is upheld. The full resources of the company by way of manpower, supervision, training and administrative support will be put in place to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Act. The Safety Committee is comprised of the Operations Director, the Control Room Manger, and all the Area Supervisors. Weekly meetings of this committee are conducted at Head Office. It is the duty of all employees to take reasonable care of the health and safety of him/herself, and other persons who may be affected by his (her) acts or omissions at work. Employees should inform their supervisor immediately if they feel that any process or practice is unsafe. |
